I have moved my blog to my own site called RedMillLiving.com
I wanted to be able to some other things and it seemed the right time to move to my own domain name, so Red Mill Living was available and I took the opportunity.
check it out! I think you will still like.

Rosemary Wilson, At-large City Council member since 2000, will be running for State Senator upon Ken Stolle being elected to Virginia Beach Sheriff in November.
Councilmember Rosemary Wilson served on the Virginia Beach School Board from 1996 to 2000 and was vice chair in 1998. She has served on numerous school board committees, including chair of the Advanced Technology Center, chair of Curriculum and Instruction, and co-chair of the Legislative Committee. Councilmember Wilson is a lifelong resident of Virginia Beach. She is a former teacher with a bachelor of science degree in education from Old Dominion University and is a fellow for the Sorenson Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia. She received the "Friend of Education Award" from the Virginia Beach Education Association in 1999 and the "Award of Excellence" from the Virginia School Board Association in 1998 and 1999. She is chair of the Lynnhaven House Board, chair of the Virginia Municipal League's Human Development and Education Committee, chair of the Capital Campaign for the Colonial Education Center at the Lynnhaven House, and a member of the Friends of the Library Board. Rosemary Wilson has been a friend and supporter of Red Mill Farm initiatives since being on City Council and is going to help us with our current initiative of changing the setbacks to allow for front porches. She is expected to attend our National Night Out event this August - as will the Chief of Police, Virginia State Police, other City Council Members and maybe even the Mayor - Councilmember Wilson also has a MySpace page at: www.myspace.com/voterosemarywilson.

Havana's Menu for this week and RMFCA Meeting Monday Night
The Red Mill Farm Civic Association will meet Monday night, 7 p.m. at the Princess Anne Branch Library. They will discuss changing the setbacks on Red Mill Farm homes from 40 feet to 30 feet. We need all homeowners to be there and provide their thoughts.
Havana's has submitted their menu for this week:
I don't know what a 'machengo' is but the rest of the ingredients for the stuffed oysters looks good! See you there.
Ciao, braon caow!

Hey! Who's Out There!?
Today is both a sad day and an end of legend. Michael Jackson has just died from cardiac arrest, at the age of 50.
Don't forget that Monday, the Red Mill Farm Civic Association will meet at the Princess Anne Branch Library to discuss changing the setbacks to our front yards.
If you're reading this blog, holla back.

Red Mill Rewards Cards Are In?
According to Jeff Fritz, Marketing Guy for the shopping center, the rewards cards should have shown up in our mail boxes by now. According to Jeff, "The Rewards cards should have reached you by now…please let me know if you did not get them as I have had a few phone calls of “holes” in our mailing. The cards should be mailed to majority of zip codes 23456, 23454; a few folks in the 23457 and 23453; and all of 23451."
If any of you have not received your rewards card in the mail, send me a message here. Jeff is monitoring and he will rectify as soon as possible.
The Farmers Market is growing each week. I can't wait to see what it looks like in July!
Come out and support local growers and producers, every Saturday 8 to noon.
And don't forget that the Red Mill Civic League is meeting at the Princess Anne Branch Library on Monday, 29 June, at 7 p.m. The main topic will be deciding to pursue the changing of the setbacks from 40 feet to 30 feet for the development of front porches.
See you around, Charlie Brown!
